A Word From The Author

I am a proud mother to three wonderful children and a cherished Grannie to three beautiful grandchildren, who, along with my beloved partner, Phil, and my dachshund, Biskit, are the most important people in my life. Running a very close second is a small and select group of the best friends one can have as support. How lucky am I?

After being a Special Education Needs teacher for thirty-five years, I retired from the Education Department to concentrate full-time on my writing career.

Complete Series

The Flower Quartet

The Flower Quartet is about four strong women over three generations in one family who have been affected by war. They live together in the family home in Lakeston, until one by one. love finds them. For two of them, it’s for the second time.

What Readers Are Saying

Readers share how these stories stayed with them long after the final page — touching on love, loss, humour, and the beauty of everyday life.

I couldn’t put these books down. I read A Daisy in the Field in one day, laughing and crying (with both joy and despair) as her story unfolded. It was difficult to wait until the other three books were written and published. Annie Chandler captivates you with the stories of this wonderful family, and you feel you know the characters intimately and are a part of their daily lives. These stories aren’t just Romance. They have Drama in them, too. This combination keeps you turning page after page to see what happens next.

Annie Chandler is a master storyteller, and her writing, although great in the first book, grew even better with each one.

The Flower Quartet

Daisy Lily Rose and Poppy

I grabbed this light and fluffy, humorous book about getting older. Annie Chander has a conversational style that feels like chatting with a friend over coffee, which works when she’s riffing on the absurdities of ageing bodies and changing social expectations.
The ‘nana knickers’ and ‘aging disgracefully’ energy is fun, and there were many moments when I laughed out loud. The humour is very much in the ‘isn’t getting old weird?’ vein, so if you’re looking for deep reflection… this is not it!
It’s a quick and easy read, perfect for when you want something undemanding. If you’re sixty-ish and need a laugh, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.

Aging Disgracefully

This is a raw, powerful, but hopeful book that shifts from simply surviving to actively rebuilding and reclaiming yourself. The honesty in admitting how close Annie came to giving up, then turning that into a call for resilience, will hit home for anyone who has ever felt the same darkness. This takes bravery and tenacity to achieve.

What can I say? This book is as insightful as it gets in describing something so cruelly inflicted on Annie by her narcissistic partner. I found myself both crying and then cheering her on as she outlined her difficult journey from where she was to where she is now. Her courage will inspire anyone who reads this amazing book.

You Are Not Alone

My Escape From A Narcissist To Find Myself Again

The theme in Annie Chandler’s second Young Adult novel is Bullying. This book should be part of the late Primary/early High School English curriculum, as it is an easy read that highlights the important point that bullying in any form is never okay and young adults need to speak up. It demonstrates the importance of friendship and standing together in tough times.
Annie has written this as a delightful story, demonstrating that there is always a way to overcome bullying, and many readers will understand and empathise with how the boys have been bullied.
Another great book, and I hope Annie Chandler writes many more in this genre.

My Escape From A Narcissist To Find Myself Again

Sixty & Sassy

We are now officially too old to have a mid-life crisis… just creaky joints, failing eyesight and hearing loss.

Welcome to my life.

Sit back, get comfy, grab a hot beverage, or an alcoholic one if you prefer, and try to read more than one page before you nod off.

Laugh at me or laugh with me, I’m happy whatever you do. Just laugh and enjoy.

Remember, sixty is the new forty… apparently. So, kick up your heels and show your nana knickers. It’s time to age disgracefully!

Connor: Blue Lightning

Bullying is never okay, but it is more so when verbal bullying becomes physical harm to a victim. Connor was bullied because he wore glasses, and these had blue-tinted lenses to help with the difficulties he experienced with Irlen Syndrome. When a new boy, Jai, was enrolled at the school and became Connor’s friend, he became the target of racial bullying.

The boys knew they should identify the bullies, but they were afraid that doing so would only make the bullying worse. They needed to find a way to do it subtly, and a school project offered them the opportunity they required to have the bullies publicly shamed and make them the superheroes.

Bella Beautiful Dancer

Bella loves to dance. It is the connection with herself, and she always gives 100% in everything she does.

This is a story of Bella’s journey from winning the local championships to competing in the state finals.

However, the road to achievement does not always run smoothly as she faces constant obstacles from a rival who believes she deserves to be the winner.

It is a story that is both engaging and full of suspense, and shows that belief in yourself and your abilities, and forgiving the person who has wronged you is the best way to move forward.
